3CX + Salesforce
3CX inside Salesforce, without the CTI licence bill
Salesforce already knows who your customers are. With 3CX connected, an inbound call finds the lead, contact or account and opens it, outbound calls start from the record, and every call is written back as a task your reports can see.
- Leads, contacts and accounts matched on inbound calls
- Calls logged as Salesforce tasks with duration and direction
- Click-to-dial from Lightning and Classic
- Unknown callers created as leads
What it does
3CX and Salesforce, call by call
Lookup across objects
3CX searches leads, contacts and accounts for the calling number and shows the match on every device, not just the browser.
Screen pop in Lightning
The matched record opens as the call rings, so the rep is reading the account history before they say hello.
Logged as tasks
Calls are written back as completed tasks against the record — subject, direction, duration and the user. Dashboards and activity reports pick them up.
Click-to-dial
Numbers on any record become dial links through the browser extension. Calls use your 3CX lines and our network.
Lead capture
Unknown callers can be created as leads automatically, with the source set so marketing can see where the call came from.
Sandbox first
We can connect to a Salesforce sandbox for testing before it touches production.
Editions and API access
The integration needs Salesforce API access, which is included in Enterprise and above and available as an add-on for Professional. We will check your edition before quoting so there are no surprises — and if your org has custom objects that should be searched, that is a scoping conversation we are happy to have.
Why not Salesforce's own telephony?
Open CTI products bring their own per-user pricing and another vendor. Connecting the phone system you already have keeps one bill and one support number, and keeps recordings on infrastructure in Australia.
How it is set up
Four steps, usually inside a day
You keep the keys. We do the mapping, the rollout and the looking-after.
Connect
A connected app with least-privilege permissions, authorised by your Salesforce admin.
Map
Which objects are searched, what is logged, and which users are enabled.
Test
Against a sandbox if you have one; against a pilot group if you do not.
Support
Monitored by us. API changes and permission drift are our problem, not yours.
Common questions about the Salesforce integration
Which Salesforce editions work?
Enterprise, Unlimited and Performance out of the box. Professional works with the API add-on. Essentials does not expose the API the integration needs.
Does it work with Lightning and Classic?
Yes. Click-to-dial and screen pop work in both through the browser extension.
Can it search custom objects?
The standard integration searches leads, contacts and accounts. Custom objects are possible as scoped work — tell us the object and the field that holds the phone number.
